Amateur Radio Emergency Communications (AREC) is a national volunteer organisation which provides free radio communications services.

AREC is comprised of trained volunteers who provide communications for Search and Rescue, Disaster relief, and the community.

When you see community events and searches around Aotearoa, our friendly volunteers are there to provide radio communications to those in need.
