Auckland Land Search & Rescue - LandSAR

Auckland LandSAR are highly trained volunteers available 24/7 to help the lost, missing and injured in greater Auckland.

Auckland

Auckland LandSAR are highly trained volunteers on call for the NZ Police 24/7 when someone goes missing, gets lost or injured in the outdoors in the greater Auckland region.

Land Search and Rescue NZ or LandSAR as we’re known is the 3rd most trusted charity in New Zealand. Our search and rescue volunteers contribute their time freely and we need to train and equip them.

They donate over 33,000 hours to rescue operations and spend over 124,000 hours training for rescue operations every year. The goodwill and generosity of the public can help us fund accredited training programmes, ongoing operational expenses and equipment purchases. Auckland LandSAR is a charity and we would like to thank the public for continuing to support our work.

We get get called for lots of different reasons- missing trampers and walkers, people injured in the bush, people missing in urban environments, and often children and the elderly who go missing.

Your donation will help us to stay trained, equipped, and ready to respond.

And we greatly appreciate it.
