Essential items and the best start for New Zealand babies - all in one box!

Nationwide Family Support Child Welfare Poverty

BabyStart is a New Zealand registered charity inspired by a Finnish tradition dating back to 1938 in which new babies are given a cardboard box full of useful items to make their early months easier and more comfortable.

The box contains clothes, baby care products, a toy, and book.

BabyStart provides boxes to New Zealand babies in difficult circumstances at no cost. Boxes are also available for sale to any New Zealanders, with each purchase buying two identical boxes - one to keep and the other to gift to a baby in need.

A donation of $300 will provide a box worth $$700 to $800 to a baby in need but any support is greatly appreciated.
