Camellia House Trust

We provide temporary accommodation for women and their children when they are homeless. We empower and support them to achieve their goals.

Manawatu / Whanganui

Camellia House is a Charitable Trust providing safe emergency and temporary accommodation for women in need.

Vision

A community in which every woman is empowered to fulfil her individual potential and to positively contribute to the wellbeing of her family.

Mission

Camellia House Trust, without discrimination of ethnic origin, religious affiliation or sexual orientation, will provide safe, short-term accommodation and support for women in need and their children.

More about us

Camellia House Trust offers temporary/emergency accommodation to women and their children who find themselves at risk of becoming homeless.

We envisage a community which every woman is empowered to fulfil her individual potential and to positively contribute to the wellbeing of her family.

Use of funds

Funds raised will go towards the operating of the house and continuing to deliver a unique and increasingly needed service to the community.

It will also go towards helping provide opportunities for the women to attend programmes, up-skill and gain confidence so they can positively contribute to their family and the community around them.

This year the Team at Moneywise Manawatu decided that instead of doing a Secret Santa with gifts to each other, we would donate the equivalent money to a charity and Camellia House was the selected organisation. It's not a lot, but we really value the support you give to local women and children - you do a great job! From our Team to Yours, we're wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year.
