Campaign for Better Transport

Campaign for Better Transport

The Campaign for Better Transport is a politically independent, voluntary incorporated society which is committed to better transport alter

Auckland

We advocate for better transport in Auckland, with an emphasis on public transport and alternatives to the single occupant car, which dominates current transport thinking in Auckland.

We successfully campaigned for rail to Onehunga; for an integrated ticketing system in Auckland; for electrification of rail; for the return of trams to Auckland's waterfront. We continue to campaign for the expansion of the rail network, better integration of bus, train and ferry services and transport funding based on needs, costs and benefits.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
