Creative Commons Aotearoa New Zealand

Creative Commons provides free licenses and tools you can apply to your copyright works to enable sharing and reuse. Our vision is nothi

Wellington

We help copyright holders distribute their work for sharing and reuse. In particular, we work with schools, universities, art galleries, museums, government departments, archives, libraries, research institutions, artists, musicians... and anyone else who wants our help!

More specifically, we make resources, organise events, develop policy, provide public workshops and give advice to licence users.

We've sent thousands of posters, guides and brochures to schools and universities across New Zealand. Our CC Kiwi video has over 40,000 views, and has been translated to several different languages. In the last fifteen months, we've given 78 talks & workshops. And we're making progress.
