We work with people struggling with some of life's most difficult situations. People come to us for a million different reasons, overwhelmed by crisis, trauma and violence.

By supporting us, you help us address "the whole of the problem, the whole of the solution", addressing the issues and healing the child, adult, and family whanau.

We provide counselling, therapy, social work services to children young people, adults, family whanay and communities.

A 24 hour 7 day crisis and trauma counselling phone line.

Our services are provided free of charge. Donations are gratefully accepted to help us keep going.

We have an exemplary record of 31 years service to Te Tai Tokerau Northland. We invite anyone considering funding The Miriam Centre to talk to us about this in detail.

• We hold Full Approval status with the Ministry of Social Development as a counselling /social work Agency.

• We hold ‘High Trust’ category contracts.

• Our finances are audited annually.

• We are a registered Charitable Trust.

We break the intergenerational cycle of violence, abuse and neglect by providing a safe space and specialist help. People can heal and provide their families with the love and nurture, to lead a better life.

In 25 years of practice, we have never met a parent who didn’t want to be able to love and nurture their kids.
