  Canterbury Family Support Child Welfare

Birthright supports children by working with single parents/caregivers to build a better life for themselves and their families. As well as initial practical support with food, school uniforms, furniture and other necessities of life, the organisation provides home visits; parent education; family camps; and confidence-building groups for children and parents.

More about us

Birthright Canterbury is one of New Zealand’s oldest children’s charities. We believe all children have the right to a happy, secure and loving home environment. Our goal is nurtured, resilient and inspired children and families. Birthright’s services are tailored to meet the needs of each family.
