A fabulous day and huge effort by everyone involved. Thank you to those that contributed in whatever way - on and off the water, leading up to, and on the day and a big thank you to all our financial supporters. So far, we've raised over $2,600. These funds will go towards the recent purchase of our clubrooms on Riverbank Road, Mercer.

Well done to all our rowers, especially our Novice crews - 40km. A massive effort!

We're thrilled to announce that we have one of our biggest contingents qualifying for Maadi 2018, to be held at Lake Ruataniwha, Twizel 19-24 March.

Maadi 2018 is a brilliant opportunity for our rowers to compete at a national level. Over 2,000 competitors from 120 plus schools are expected. It is however, a huge commitment and we welcome any opportunity for sponsorship or donations via our Givelittle page here –every little bit will help.

There are 18 CMRC rowers attending (6 Rosehill and 12 Strathallan), as well as a support team of our 4 coaches and a group of parents who will chaperone, drive, provide meal service, homework supervision etc for the 9 days we are away.

The club has arranged all logistics for the group of rowers and the support team.

The team departure will be on Saturday 17th March and return will be on Monday 26 March, flying into Christchurch and will be transported to Twizel via minivan.

The club truck, rowing boats and equipment will travel overland the week before Maadi.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of the CMRC community - all of our rowers, coaches, committee members, and families. Thank you everyone for a wonderful season so far.

If you or your business is interested in supporting us in any way, either for this season's Maadi event or in the future, please don't hesitate to get in contact, Rob - cmrc.president@outlook.com.
