Fundraising for a Traditional Catholic Convent. A home for woman consecrating their lives to God.
The Daughters of the Most Holy Redeemer is a Private Association of Consecrated Catholic Women in Christchurch. We live a life dedicated to God, using the Traditional form of the Mass and prayers, in full union with the Catholic Church. We are associated with the Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer, an established Religious community in the Diocese of Christchurch.
We need your help to establish a permanent house so that we can have a firm base for our community life and so we can expand to meet the needs of our wider community. To pray for our city, our country and the world. We want to make this house a house of reparation to the Holy Face of Jesus. To make up to Him for all the blasphemies and the abuse of Sundays that we are surrounded by today.
Our life has two halves, a rich prayer life steeped in the Traditions of the Church and a strong active life. We spend time visiting and helping out families; offer support and companionship for older people in their home or in care and aim to be there for those who need a listening ear. We have begun as much as we can, but this great work for Jesus can only continue and grow once we have a firm base.
St Teresa of Calcutta said “The most terrible poverty is loneliness”, Please help us to become established, so we can show people the love God has for each one of them, and that they are never alone.
Please see our blog.
Thank you so much for your help.
God Bless you all.
