David Johnstone Pukemokemoke Bush Trust

Native Forest Gem

Tauhei, Waikato

Pukemokemoke consists of 40 hectares of original and modified forest cover. It was donated by David Johnstone in 1994 and is administered by the David Johnstone Pukemokemoke Bush Trust. Prior to 1994 it was grazed by cattle, over-run with weeds and was home to a number of predators. Post 1994 many enhancements have been made to the reserve and currently on-going maintenance of tracks and boardwalk, weed control and native plantings are paramount in maintaining and enhancing the visitor experience.

Your Donation will assist in making Pukemokemoke Bush Reserve an even better destination for both recreation and education users.

1-It will help fund the continued upgrading of tracks within the Reserve,

2-Help fund the purchase of native plants and trees

3-Help fund, the continuation of the comprehensive weed control to enable newly native plantings

to thrive
