That's the price of a cup of coffee to educate a gorgeous Indian girl currently living in a Mumbai slum and empower her to become her own changemaker. OR $20 keeps a girl in school for 4 weeks, OR $260 keeps a girl in school for a whole year. Our Girls Learning Centre in Mumbai teaches 25 girls aged between 7 and 13 years old. It operates 5.30pm-8.00pm, 5 days a week, and focuses on teaching basic literacy and numeracy skills, general science, life skills, as well as extra-curricular activities, celebrations, and confidence-building activities. The aim of the centre is to build the capacity of girls living in the slums, provide them with educational support and guidance, and empower them to finish their schooling.
