“Encourage a spiritually maturing community; broken and transformed by the compassion and humility of Christ”.

Delta Community Baptist Church
Who we are:
We are a participant-led church community bonded together through our Saviour Jesus Christ, who are living out and growing in our faith amidst our large community ministry – Delta Community Support Trust.
The Church birthed the Trust in 1995 in response to local community need. Since then, a special and dynamic relationship between the Church and Trust has developed. The strength of this relationship is reflected in our shared home within our new community development centre.
The Church and the Trust share the Delta pictorial Creed proclaiming our belief in the power of community for supporting each other as fellow human beings, loved by God.
The Delta Creed
● We believe in the power of the divine law of love , calling us to receive and give; acceptance, forgiveness, and welcoming hospitality to all of creation.
● We believe in the power of the wounded healer, our Lord Jesus Christ, and endeavour to follow His way by showing our fellow beings, empathy- a feeling with the other, sympathy- an understanding with the other, and compassion- a willingness and ability to relieve the suffering of another.
● We believe that by following the law of divine love and the teachings of the wounded healer we embark on the path to spiritual maturity. A path of a life- long spiritual pilgrimage always leading to an ever-deepening relationship with God.
Situated at the heart of a community development centre, we aim to live out St Paul’s teaching to the Galatians Ch. 3:28: “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus”. Blessed be Christ the Prince of Peace who breaks down the walls that divide
Our Mission:
Living out this teaching demands a lifelong journey, aspiring to spiritual maturity, and transformed discipleship. It is therefore, the mission of our church to:
“Encourage a spiritually maturing community; broken and transformed by the compassion and humility of Christ”.
Our church is formed and led by the sharing of our own wounded brokenness. It is this model of the wounded healer upon which we build the spiritual strength of our Delta Church, and the values underpinning the work of the Delta Community Support Trust.
We’re a small church with a very large community ministry – Delta Community Support Trust.
Our Vision:
Encouraging a spiritually maturing community; broken and transformed by the compassion and humility of Christ.
