With your generosity we will be able to continue to fulfil our pledge to never turn away a cat in need.
Diamond Harbour, Canterbury
Diamond Harbour Cat Rescue charity was established to meet the need for cat rescue across Banks Peninsula where no other services existed. This area of great natural beauty lies close enough to the City to be a dumping ground for unwanted pets and has led to a growth in the number of strays.
We pride ourselves on never turning away a cat or kitten in need despite the challenges of running a charity alongside busy day jobs. But we cannot do this work without your generosity and help.
We provide all that is needed to care for kittens and cats whilst they adjust to domestic life and are getting ready for adoption. This can take a few weeks, sometimes a few months and so we urgently need donations for supplies like cat litter, trays, wet & dry, adult and kitten food. In addition, we vaccinate, desex and microchip every cat and treat it for any ailments whilst in our care. Can you help towards our costs to carry on rescuing cats and kittens in need?
In the past 18 months we have rescued and successfully rehomed over 80 cats. The joy of knowing the cats are safe, happy and lovingly bonded with their forever home person makes all the hard work worthwhile. Help us continue to make a difference and rescue those in need🖤🐾
We are a small group of dedicated volunteers stretching across all of Banks Peninsula who resuce and foster abandoned and wild kittens and cats. We desex, microchip and vaccinate all cats in our care before finding them forever homes for adoption.
