DOC EDGE FESTIVAL
New Zealand's only and Australasia's premiere international documentary film festival held annually in May in Wellington and Auckland.
The Festival showcases best films from New Zealand and around the world. It includes awards celebrating documentary and recognises achievements.
DOCS FOR SCHOOLS
Provides students with the experience of selected documentaries during the Festival for free. Provides teachers with educational kits and links to curriculum. Engage students with current issues, vital ideas, critical questions and new perspectives.
SCREEN EDGE FORUM
An annual screen industry gathering that brings together local and international industry to discuss developments, explore funding and co-production opportunities to up-skill and network.
It includes seminars, panels, master-classes and DOC Pitch, a pitching forum for new documentary projects.
A new programme to develop and exhibit digital interactive storytelling.
It facilitates collaboration between creatives and technologists to create new story worlds.
Regular free public screenings throughout the year.
The Documentary New Zealand Trust is a not-for-profit charitable organisation based in Auckland which was founded in 2004. Our Mission is to lead and support filmmakers to develop and make compelling documentary films and to inspire the creative, business and wider communities to celebrate local and international documentary stories. Our Vision is to promote documentary, create healthy audience appreciation for documentary and make New Zealand a documentary destination on the world stage.
