Diamond Way Buddhism NZ

  • Donate a tree

      23 November 2010

We are happy to announce you can now http://www.buddhism.org.nz/donate-a-tree-for-glentui/ donate a tree for Glentui retreat! We have chosen to ""sell"" the trees, because it fits with our retreat, but the funds raised will be used for all kinds of development work. After all we are aiming at creating a fully functioning centre, able to host the full range of guests - from single yogis wishing to retreat and do Diamondway practices, through larger courses, and of course our Lama. Thanks to those who have already donated - we really appreciate this! Please let us know at tree@buddhism.org.nz what's your address, so we can send you the t-shirt and the postcard, and of course we just can't wait to see you in Glentui!

  • [Glentui] It's happening!

      26 September 2010

We have already raised over $4,000 for the retreat within the local sangha! This allowed us to start the construction works on the meditation hut and to fence off two areas designed for protector groves. The hut is quickly taking shape: we already have the foundations and http://www.buddhism.org.nz/deck the deck. The trees are also http://www.buddhism.org.nz/spring/"" taking roots. Now we need to keep raising funds to be able to finish the building and plant shelter belts along the borders of our property.

  • [Glentui] The retreat project

      25 August 2010

We are a small organisation locally, but we have learned to think bigger. With help from people abroad, we have bought 4ha of land in Glentui, Southern Island, ideal for building the http://www.buddhism.org.nz/glentui-retreat/Glentui Retreat Centre. This infrastructure will be used for larger Diamond Way courses in Oceania as well as for individual retreats. A retreat hut is currently?under construction and it should be ready before the New Year. Check out our http://www.buddhism.org.nz/glentui-retreat-centre-blog/construction blog to see how we are progressing. You can also subscribe to our DWBNZ newsletter on our http://www.buddhism.org.nz/glentui/Glentui Retreat page
