A website that will impact generations to come. Be a kaitiaki and donate to 'The Environment Guide'.
Auckland
The Environmental Defence Society and the Environment Foundation are working together on an epic project.
They have created a website to help communities easily access environmental management information in Aotearoa. This new website provides freely accessible, practical and user-friendly information on the wide-range of laws and policies which apply to Aotearoa's environment. Topics covered include the management of freshwater, biodiversity, air, marine and coastal areas, landscape, climate change, natural hazards, heritage and noise.
This website provides huge value to members of Aotearoa trying to seek information about how the environment is managed. If there is something happening in your community, that you see as an environmental wrong-doing, read about your rights and duties on The Environment Guide. This allows the general public to exercise their rights more easily and also minimises the need to seek expensive lawyers.
This project needs funding. To-date the Environment Guide has been gratefully supported by The Law Foundation. Now, we are reaching out to the public to help EDS and EF complete and improve this website for the benefit of generations to come.
