UPDATE AUG 2026:

In response to the devastating floods in Nepal we are collecting funds to send direct to our onsite contacts to assist in relief efforts.

Funds will be used for safe drinking water, temporary shelter and other basic necessities, for those most impacted in this community and surroundings.

The heart of FACE Nepal's mission is transparency (through direct contact with our local team and clear accounting) and sustainability (by ensuring community support and inclusion on all projects and sponsorships).

FACE Nepal is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established by local community representatives and supported by former Nepal community volunteers. FACE Nepal was established in the wake of increasing social, educational, and environmental problems in the rural and urban areas, combined with a growing community frustration with inadequate resource distribution, project coordination and planning from existing aid and volunteer organizations.

COVID19 Update June 2021 - Funds were sent direct to the communities we partner with the support provided 94 families with food supplies to last 20 days.

Aid Delivery 7 September 2026

Thank you to everyone who has donated to support communities affected by the devastating floods in Nepal.

Through our local network, emergency supplies have now been distributed to 75 families who lost their homes and possessions. These included stoves and cooking equipment, blankets and clothing. Many survivors are living in temporary camps without facilities to cook meals or wash clothes, so these practical items have been urgently needed.

While we are grateful to have reached these 75 families, they represent only a small fraction of the people needing help. The scale of the devastation is immense.

There is considerable support on the ground providing food and rice, and electricity has returned to some areas. We are continuing to work with local communities to identify the most urgent gaps, including further rice, medicines and other essential supplies.

Entire families have been lost. Many survivors are grieving multiple members of their family while also facing the loss of their homes, belongings and livelihoods.

The immediate emergency response is only the beginning. Communities now face enormous questions about relocation, rebuilding homes and restoring their lives. We are also exploring whether some of the funds raised could provide locally appropriate mental health and trauma support for people experiencing such profound loss.
