Building a garden for hope, food, inspiration and community.
Southland
The mission of the Fiordland Community Garden Charitable Trust is to promote environmental awareness, sustainability, and community resilience through the medium of growing food together. This is achieved by providing a place for all ages to meet and engage with each other in a safe, non-threatening environment to share or learn about a common interest.
We aim to promote life-long learning opportunities by encouraging, educating and demonstrating the various gardening methods involved in food production. Including workshops to demonstrate methods of spray free gardening, food preservation techniques and other fresh produce related topics.
Food produced from the Community Garden is distributed in return for volunteered time, and put in our Kai Pantry for people to take for a koha or swap. Any excess will be donated to the local food bank as/when required. We also support Fiordland Community Kai group where we can.
The Fiordland Community Garden Charitable Trust are registered with the NZ Companies Office and the Charities Services (CC58102).
So please support us with a donation if you can. Thank you.
Please support our Community Garden! Every cent donated goes towards improving our garden, reaching out to the community and providing opportunities to engage, and to growing food.

Funding progress! 9 October 2020
It's been a busy week for our Board! We have presented our project to the Te Anau Rotary Group last night and to the Panel for the Meridian Manapouri Power-up Fund application. We hope to secure grants for our larger items, however, every dollar contributed will make a huge difference!
