Sponsoring a Paying it forward voucher is about giving what you can so that others can take what they need.
Petone, Lower Hutt
Our kaupapa is simple: everyone should have access to what they need without shame, stigma, or unnecessary waste.
We operate a large ‘give what you can, take what you need’ goods redistribution facility at 17 Te Puni St in Petone where the public can access and receive donated household items. To help us remain accessible while covering basic operational costs, we ask for a $10 entry fee per person per visit. This fee enables us to maintain the service for the broader public and continue reducing barriers to access.
Recognising that even small costs can be a barrier to those in hardship, we’ve launched the Paying It Forward Community Access Programme —a voucher-based sponsorship programme that helps individuals and families gain access to essential household items with dignity and without financial pressure.
This Programme also allows us to amplify the reach and impact of the work already being done by our frontline community partners. These organisations are supporting people facing financial hardship, housing insecurity, violence, and social isolation. By collaborating with them, we ensure that support is delivered discreetly, efficiently, and meaningfully.
Paying it forward is about giving what you can so that others can take what they need.
Free For All is a grassroots zero-waste not-for-profit helping communities to sustainably share resources. Reducing financial pressure on people and families through access to the things they need most whilst minimising needless waste.
