The Garden City Model Railroad Club Inc is an incorporated society established 40 years ago and is located within Ferrymead Heritage Park.

Our facilities consist of several permanent layouts including a dedicated memorial layout and museum displays that present the history of model railways through the ages.

As part of Ferrymead Heritage Park, we are open to park visitors every day of the year (except Christmas Day), where they can view the layouts and museum displays that we have on offer. We also provide interactive layouts where visitors can view model trains running and operating with the press of a button. This is a real hit with visitors of all ages.

Our club is run entirely by volunteers and we are completely dependent upon donations and other fundraising to support our ongoing efforts to maintain and upgrade our layouts and displays.
