    Girls Rock Aotearoa (home of the To The Front programmes) is an incorporated society with charitable status, working for the wellbeing of youth and our music community. Society members are the juice in the juicebox of Girls Rock Aotearoa! Having a substantial membership shows our commitment to growing our community, and ensures our succession as a society.

    Along with the satisfaction of contributing to the wellbeing of the future of Aotearoa music and our rangatahi, you can reap the following benefits:

  • An End of Year Update from Girls Rock Aotearoa and To The Front!

    This year has already been full of exciting programmes, unforgettable events, and new workshops that have expanded our reach and impact across Aotearoa. We facilitated four holiday programmes, held our official charity launch party, had workshops on music release and promotion, sustainable styling, mentor skills, songwriting, and DIY gigs! And we’ve still got some upcoming programmes!

    Coming up - To The Front Adult Rock Camp Manawatū-Whanganui!

    For the very first time, Girls Rock Aotearoa are proud to announce To The Front Adult Rock Camp!

    Friday 6 - Sunday 8 February - Waitangi Weekend - overnight stay Friday & Saturday nights at The Learning Environment Pīwaiwaka Farm

    This programme is open to people who live in Manawatū-Whanganui only. All musical experience levels welcome!

    Coming up - To The Front Tāmaki Makaurau!

    From Monday 12 to Saturday 17 January 2026, at SAE Creative Institute, To The Front is open to youth aged 12-17 years who are women, intersex, trans, takatāpui and gender diverse. They’ll learn instruments, form bands, write original songs, and perform at a showcase, all guided by professional musicians in a gender inclusive environment.
