Help us raise funds for a much needed early childhood centre in Glenorchy.

The proposed Glenorchy Early Childhood Education Centre (GYECEC) is a community led opportunity to promote high quality early childhood services for young children and their families centred within the Glenorchy community.

For the last couple of years, the Glenorchy Playgroup along with local business owners, parents and community members have envisioned a new childcare centre staffed by qualified, locally based teachers with a focus on high quality learning and development.

Not only would this new building be a fit for purpose Early Childhood Education Centre, it would also be a multi-use facility, environmentally sustainable building for a variety of local groups and organisations as a community meeting place, venue hire and kitchen.

This centre will be an essential service for our isolated community, aiming to support the town by keeping families local through offering regular and reliable childcare that is also community led.

It's no secret our small town is growing, and we need facilities that will help this along and enhance the town with the amenities it needs to survive and thrive in the coming decades.

Help us raise the $2 million we need to get this project completed, so we can secure a locally grown future for our kids in Glenorchy.

More about us

We provide a facility for the education and social development of children living in the Glenorchy area in the 0-5 age group, and a meeting place and support for parents/caregivers of pre-school children in the Glenorchy area.

Use of funds

To get the Glenorchy Early Childhood Education Centre started. All funds raised will go towards bits and pieces along the way such as plans and reports and if we don't raise enough to complete, we will be redeveloping and upgrading the current site.
