Auckland
We are putting the neighbour back into neighbourhoods by supporting families in whatever way is meaningful for them. We have a number of umbrella projects including a free firewood bank, backyard blitzes and community gardens, plus we are hoping to establish a food rescue service in 2014.
Since establishing Good Neighbour in February 2013, over 1000 volunteer hours have gone into supporting families who have hit a bump in life's road. We have mowed lawns, fixed fences, delivered meals and even hosted a birthday party for a child whose father is living with terminal cancer. We focus on the little things that make a big difference.
