These awards support community leaders working with young people who are at risk of not being engaged in learning. • Meet the Little Crayon of Love

      2 April 2015

In February 2015 we launched the “Little Crayon of Love” media campaign created by FCB advertising agency, who generously donated their time to the project as a way to reduce child abuse in NZ. The campaign launched with a mail drop of a “Little Crayon of Love” pack to 10,000 homes in South Auckland. Each pack included a crayon and a piece of paper with instructions for a fun, free activity that adults can do to build the bond with their children (the adult draws around their hand and writes something in each finger that they love about their child, while discussing what they are writing with that child). Part of the campaign is a microsite: www.littlecrayonoflove.co.nz, which gives people throughout the country tools to do other positive activities with their children.
