Your support helps us support artists irrespective of social, economic or geographical location.
Onehunga, Auckland
We rely on funding for everything we do within our organization.
We facilitate arts access and inspire arts practitioners and audiences, irrespective of social, economic or geographic isolation. We do this by: running rehearsal rooms - Kete Aronui - for arts and community groups at reduced rates, The Factory Theatre - a 120 flexiseat theatre, The Ugly Shakespeare Company (schools tour), Rangitahi Development Programs, umbrella funding applications for other Arts organizations, provide mentorship for artists, run workshops, host film nights, aim to run children's theatre in the school holidays - the list is endless.
There are many areas of our organization that we are often unable to find funding for and within these areas that slip through the funding gaps we need to find alternate ways to make them happen. Eg: provide extra opportunities for artists, refurbish of our green room, upgrade our kitchen equipment, extend our security reach, etc.
He Waka Eke Noa Charitable Trust aims to facilitate arts access and to inspire arts practitioners and audiences, irrespective of social, economic or geographic isolation.
