• Boarding and flatmate agreements

• Support with emergency and transitional housing

• Completing online tenancy applications for Tenancy Portal and Rentii

• Finding long-term rentals; tenancy agreements and understanding the application process.

• Advice on rights and responsibilities; referral to the Residential Tenancies Amendment Act 2020

• Assistance and advocacy in difficult situations, i.e., Tenancy Tribunal cases

• Information on a range of topics including MSD support, Healthy Homes and Budgeting, and referrals to Statutory, Iwi-based and Community Agencies.

Clients include:

• The homeless, people in emergency and temporary housing

• People from all ethnic groups and ages

• Those with greater needs due to mental health, physical, and literacy challenges

• Immigrants with language barriers

Landlords come to us for help with:

• Assistance and Advocacy

• Advertising and finding tenants

• Landlord rights and responsibilities

• Forms that cover all that is needed for tenancy agreements.

We also offer:

• Free private rental listings with access links distributed via email and our website

• Attendance at open days including Massey University, UCOL and Linton Army Camp

• A 2-day “Ready to Rent” program in which clients are referred from MSD and community agencies. This program provides valuable information on budgeting; MSD; Kainga Ora; work broker; Healthy Homes and tenancy support. Participants gain a certificate that is highly regarded by Land Agents.
