Around the coast, Coastguard volunteers stand ready to assist those in need on the water. Launching in our strategically located rescue vessel based at Howick beach our people will do everything they can to save a life.
In addition to our rescue service, we work hard to provide boaties with the information and knowledge they need to enjoy our waters safely.
In the last year as volunteers we responded to 230 calls for assistance and were the reason over 400 people were bought home to our community safely.
