We are a family-run registered cat rescue charity working to combat the large stray and abandoned cat/kitten populations in our small rural communities, where no other rescues exist, from Taihape to Horopito NZ.

In the 16 months we have been open, we have had more than 170 cats and kittens through our doors - most of these are strays and abandoned pets.

Some kitties go on to other rescues, and the ones who stay with us we work hard to socialise and rehabilitate and once they are ready, we find them their forever homes.

We also manage the local Taihape cat colony, feeding them daily and rescuing/rehabilitating them as space allows. In the year we have cared for them, 35 cats/kittens have been rescued and 20 remain.

We are self-funded, with the exception of donations from incredible members of the public in/around our wonderful small communities.

We have put all of our time, energy, and resources into saving kitties who desperately need it from a life that they did not choose.

From good quality food, litter, flea and worm treatment, to vet appointments, medication, and desexing/microchipping, we provide our cats and kittens with everything they need to thrive until they find the furever home they deserve 🤍
