Raising funds to repair, upgrade and modernise the 50 year old Jellicoe Park Tennis Club (Manurewa) clubroom building.

Manurewa's Jellicoe Park Tennis Club is 90 years old in 2022. Since the early 2000s it has been a charitable organisation focused on encouraging local youth to develop a lifelong love of tennis. Funds raised annually are targetted to reducing the cost of participation so that economic circumstance is not a barrier. Many members have been added through free youth holiday programmes. Children starting out have access to the club's pool of racquets with some also benefiting from membership and coaching fee subsidies. Raising funds for work on court upgrades and asbestos removal has been successful. We are progressing a plan to repair, upgrade and modernise the 50 year old clubroom building so that it is fit for purpose, for the club and community.

JPTC encourages children to play tennis and adopt the sport as a component of a healthy lifestyle. Charitable activity includes fee subsidies (affiliation and coaching) and provision of equipment including racquets, t-shirts and balls. Sometimes footwear.
