Support the JKB Foundation in helping young women add diversity to the finance industry and to educate about bowel cancer awareness.
Christchurch, Canterbury
The JKB Foundation is a charitable trust established in memory of the late Jade Kenney-Blackman.
A beautiful, successful young woman, wife and mother who lost her short battle to bowel cancer at the age of 44 in early 2024.
Jade’s charismatic approach to building heartfelt relationships was not just in her personal life but in all aspects of her business acumen. She consistently spoke at finance and women’s events sharing her knowledge. Jade encouraged, motivated and inspired all walks of life to continually keep educating ourselves, to be present and compassionate towards others and to always seek your goals.
The JKB Foundation's mission is to -
CONNECT | EDUCATE | INSPIRE
- The first initiative of the JKB Foundation is to recognise Jade's own journey into her finance career, by way of providing an annual scholarship to a female tertiary student entering the finance industry in New Zealand.
- The second initiative of the JKB Foundation is to provide financial support to The Gut Foundation, helping to promote awareness and signs of early detection of bowel cancer to the community of Canterbury.
WHY? you may ask…
Every day in New Zealand 9 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer and 3 of them will die from this diagnosis.
The Jade Kenney-Blackman Foundation is a registered charitable trust set up to provide an annual scholarship to a female student entering the finance industry and to also provide ongoing financial support to the Gut Foundation regarding bowel cancer.
