We need you to help fund the Kaimai project for track and hut maintenance and the provision of firewood for our huts
Bay of Plenty
We are a group of volunteer clubs and individuals who are ensuring that the backcountry tracks and huts in the Kaimai Range are being maintained to a usable standard, since the focus of limited DOC recreation funding is on front country facilities.
Without our work, the tracks would become difficult to follow, and huts would deteriorate rapidly.
During 2018 we will be building our first new Kaimai hut - Te Whare Okioki - at the Ngamuwahine Shelter Clearing site in the southern Kaimai.
You can help us by volunteering for our regular work parties, assisting us with administration work, providing a donation via GiveALittle, working directly with us on funding activities, or leaving a bequest in your will.
All major donations and assistance will be publicly acknowledged.
Thankyou for being interested in supporting the Kaimai Project.
We are a group of tramping clubs and deerstalkers branches who are working hard to improve the tracks and huts in the Kaimai Range.
Thanks - your donation is much appreciated Was this at Te Rereatukahia Hut ? Please email me at kaimairidgeway@gmail.com, because I was not aware of possums causing an issue there, so we need to do something about it
Thanks very much Elise - greatly appreciated. Hope you come back again soon
