Help Women Shape a Fairer Future

Each year on Suffrage Day, 19 September, our community comes together in Christchurch — Kate Sheppard’s hometown — to celebrate her legacy and support the next generation of women making a difference across Aotearoa New Zealand. The Kate Sheppard Memorial Award helps a woman who is a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident pursue postgraduate study or a special project that will benefit the wider community.

To keep this support available year after year, the Kate Sheppard Memorial Trust needs to grow its capital fund. Every contribution, large or small, helps create opportunities for women to develop their potential, bring valuable ideas to life, and strengthen our communities. By giving today, you will be part of a collective effort to honour Kate Sheppard’s enduring legacy and help women shape a fairer, stronger future for us all.
