HELP! Our small centre has experienced a flood and we're kindly asking for donations of any kind to help us!
Auckland
A few weeks ago our plumbing created a flood in our centre over a long weekend - it resulted in extensive damage to the property and equipment.
Its a massive job to fix and replace, and we are kindly asking for donations of any kind to help us upgrade some of the appliances and items and get us back on our feet sooner.
Basically we are unable to use the centre until it has been fixed and deemed safe, which could be well into next term, so we are using this hiatus as a chance to raise funds for the centre.
Donations or donated goods - especially any kitchen appliances such as a fridge, stove, computer, electric frying pan and cake mixer, would be greatly appreciated.
The children love to bake, so is a real set-back to lose these items and the use of our entire kitchen.
We are a small community and a volunteer-run centre who already relies heavily on funding to be able to operate, and our 12 attending families are not able to use our centre until the kitchen, several walls and the bathroom are replaced...
...we could really use your help right now!
Please donate using this site or contact Renee on 0212685644 to organise a pick up or drop off of donated goods.
We are a small early childcare centre run by volunteer parents and caregivers for children aged 0-6.
At Kaukapakapa Playcentre, we run sessions guided by what the children are interested in and excited about.
Learning through play, celebrating biculturalism, and having a sense of place are of the utmost importance to us.
Morning Tea & Open Day 30 May 2016
A big thank you to all our generous donors via Givealittle and donating goods!
We are celebrating Matariki on Wednesday 8th June from 9.15am - 11.45am by having an open day and we'd love it if you'd pop in so we can shout you morning tea and a cuppa.
It would be great to say thank you in person, plus you'll also be able to see your generosity in action and our brand new kitchen!
For more information, please call us on (09) 420 4784.
Look forward to seeing you there :-)
