Life Education Trust aims to inspire our children to embrace positive choices for a healthy mind and body.

Life Education is a nationwide educational charity, with 32 different regional trusts operating across NZ. We use Harold the giraffe, our mascot, to teach primary and intermediate school-aged children about respect for themselves and others, the value of leading a healthy life, and how our bodies work. The Life Education program is a valuable aid in helping our children to become good citizens of our communities, along with learning strategies to cope with the pressures that life presents.
Children and adolescents face so many challenges today in regards to obesity, substance use, mental health, well-being and bullying. These challenges shape the five teaching strands of Life Education which include: Food and Nutrition, Human Biology, Substances, Relationships and Communities, Identity, and Resilience.
The Vision of Life Education is to enable children to reach their full potential. We aim to reach every primary school child in our area to educate and inspire generations to embrace positive choices for a healthy mind and body - BUT we need your help to do this!
Each year, we deliver to nearly 6000 students across the North Wellington region, visiting up to 50 schools. It costs over $130,000 per year for us to provide these valuable services. With no Government funding, it is vital that our local communities help us to deliver the program. To continue to deliver our programme at a subsidized rate, we need your support ,while also extending our reach to impact even more children.
Life Education is a health education programme for children of primary and intermediate age – a health resource for schools. All funds raised will be used to deliver the Life Education program to children in the North Wellington area.
