Our vision is for Young people to see and show value in themselves and the communities they belong to.
Our mission is empowering young people and their whanau to reach their mental, emotional, physical and spiritual potential.
We provide local community programmes for the young people of our diverse community in Christchurch. We work closely with youth from primary school age right through high school and beyond into their university student years. Our programmes include La Vida After School Programme, a Breakfast Club, the Red Frogs initiative and Youth Workers in Schools. We employ four 24-7 Youth Workers in two local schools and are involved in numerous community initiatives, such as helping get young people involved in sports and our annual Community Fun Day!
La Vida Youth Trust was established in 2004, after a need for a positive and safe place where young people could spend their time was perceived. Since then we have continued to work in our community by expanding to provide all of our current, well-attended programmes.
