We are a small non-profit organisation which providing prevention, education and support services to people who have been impacted by domestic violence. Our programmes include support for both men and women (as victims and as perpetrators of family violence) as well as for children, couples and families/whanau.
Only a third of our operating costs are covered by government and we rely upon fundraising and donations to ensure that we are able to continue providing accessible, high-quality services to those in need.
We do so in a small community of 8,000 people, a population which swells to over 40,000 during the summer months.
While Waiheke may indeed be the fourth best island in the world (we think it's the first!), it experiences high levels of domestic violence.
We invite you to support our work by donating to us so that we can ensure that Waiheke becomes the safest little island in the world.
