Help save lives of abandoned cats & kittens in Palmerston North.
Manawatu / Whanganui
Manawatu Alley Cat Trust is a small, non-profit volunteer organisation that cares for stray and feral cats in the streets, alleyways and parks of Palmerston North.
There is so much work to be done out there. No one really gets to see the extent of undesexed stray and abandoned cats on the street, it is an invisible existence. The numbers are too high and we want them to drop.
We have good humane trappers that catch these stray and feral cats, they are then fixed and released if completely wild back to where they were found and will be fed and looked after by whoever owns the property. Or fostered out to homes that socialise them and put up for adoption to find them forever homes. We have a wee hospital like recovery room for the desexed TNR adults so we can watch out for any side effects to surgery- a big thank you to a very generous and compassionate person who has set this up specially. We do not believe in the euthanasia of healthy cats and kittens.
BUT, we cannot keep desexing and feeding the strays and supporting fosterers without money.
We need an injection of funds to help us keep going, one cat, one street at a time. This is our PLEA, every little helps.
Please donate and please share to raise funds and more importantly to raise awareness.
Kitten Season 26 September 2019
Kitten season is here! And it is our busiest time of the year!
We ask for funds to help support us in providing food and toys for our foster families to rehabilitate our wild kittens into becoming fun loving pets!
Also we ask for funds to support us to continue to TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) our mothers and tom cats to help stop this unwanted cycle of wild cats.
