We are a registered charity helping desex dogs and cats in the community to stop the birth of unwanted and often unloved litters.
Marlborough Four Paws is a registered Charitable Trust CC58295 established in March 2017 originally as Marlborough Dog Pawz. We began with the intention to help support responsible dog ownership within the community with the main objective being to encourage desexing by way of offering subsidised desexing to dog owners in the hope of preventing unwanted and often unloved litters of pups.
MFP has grown quickly due to the number of unwanted animals in Marlborough and now helps with desexing of both dogs and cats and has also become involved in the rescue, rehabilitation, desexing, and rehoming of unwanted, abandoned, and stray/wild cats and kittens.
Desexing and rehabilitation is an expensive process and only limited funds are available. We are very fortunate and grateful to have the support of Vet Marlborough who have been generous with their kind assistance with desexing animals and helping animals needing immediate attention.
Together with Vet Marlborough we hold dedicated cat desexing clinics and are also able to offer the community discounted dog and cat desexing. To date we have achieved the desexing of over 400 cats and 200 dogs.
Funds for vet bills, medication, food, bedding, fuel and other miscellaneous items are done through limited cash donations, generous donations of goods from local businesses, and individuals who support them. We are always in desperate need of more funding as there is so much more we could do...unfortunately the need is never ending.
We are run entirely by volunteers and 100% of the donations go towards helping the animals.🐾
Our goal is to prevent the birth of unwanted litters of puppies and kittens in our community by offering subsidised desexing to eligible pet owners. We also desex and rehome unwanted abandoned and stray cats and kittens.
