We are a registered charity helping desex dogs and cats in the community to stop the birth of unwanted and often unloved litters.
Marlborough
Marlborough Four Paws is a registered Charitable Trust CC58295 established in March 2017 originally as Marlborough Dog Pawz. We began with the intention to help support responsible dog ownership within the community with the main objective being to encourage desexing by way of offering subsidised desexing to dog owners in the hope of preventing unwanted and often unloved litters of pups.
MFP has grown quickly due to the number of unwanted animals in Marlborough and now helps with desexing of both dogs and cats and has also become involved in the rescue, rehabilitation, desexing, and rehoming of unwanted, abandoned, and stray/wild cats and kittens. As of November 2023 we are very proud to say that we have achieved the desexing of over 1300 cats and 400 dogs!
Desexing and rehabilitation is an expensive process and only limited funds are available. We are very fortunate and grateful to have the support of Vet Marlborough who have been generous with their kind assistance with desexing animals and helping animals needing immediate attention.
Funds for vet bills, medication, food, bedding, fuel and other miscellaneous items are done through limited cash donations, generous donations of goods from local businesses, and individuals who support them. We are always in desperate need of more funding as there is so much more we could do...unfortunately the need is never ending.🐾
Our goal is to reduce animal suffering, protect local bird life and reduce the spread of feral animal diseases in our community by preventing the birth of unwanted litters of kittens and puppies. We do this by rescuing, desexing and rehoming unwanted, abandoned and stray cats and kittens, and rehoming the unwanted and uncared for dogs and puppies. We offer subsidised desexing for eligible pet owners to help reduce the birth of yet more unwanted kittens and puppies. Marlborough Four Paws is run entirely by volunteers and we rely on donations from our generous local community to continue the work we do.
