Where tamariki thrive and whānau flourish
Bay of Plenty
Merivale Community Centre in Tauranga has been providing services and programmes to the community for 27 years. We want to achieve a thriving, vibrant community realising its potential where people are safe, connected, and making healthy choices for themselves, their whānau and their community.
Our tamariki are at the heart of all that we do. We provide a safe, welcoming and supportive space for them to learn new things, feel supported and connect with their peers and the community.
We deliver a diverse range of programmes and services to meet the needs of the community including:
• Whānau support, including social work, and referral services
• Counselling
• Budget advice
• Advocacy support
• Youth development programmes, including leadership and early intervention support
• Intensive mentoring programmes
• After school programme
• Holiday programmes
• Facilitation of community hui, including regular residents’ meetings
• Facilitation of community group use of venue for external programmes and support groups
• Community development projects
• Organising community events
• Advocacy for community safety and collaborative projects
We would love your support to continue this important work in Tauranga Moana.

Update for 14/02/2012 14 February 2012
It's been too long! We have a Facebook page, Twitter and our own website now, so keep up to date with us. It's still a struggle to meet our operating costs, as government funding has stayed static to liitle providers like us for three years essentially. But we keep going and have a great team. Think about supporting us again this year.
