We provide advice and advocacy to empower renters to fight for their rights.
Manawatu / Whanganui
Our mission:
To support the welfare of tenants of the Manawatu region,
To advise, assist and generally support tenants in their dealings with landlords,
To empower tenants to act in their own best interests in regard to their accommodation needs,
To educate the community on the rights and obligations of tenants and landlords,
To network with other government and community agencies.
We are hear to empower renters to fight for their rights and overcome some of the power imbalance inherent to renting. Become a member, donate, or just stop by and see us for a bit of support.
We are a Charity and have been Incorporated since 1983 to empower renters in the Manawatu to fight for their rights. To this end, we provide advice, information, education, and advocacy, guiding renters through the disputes process and helping them out on the way.
To find us, we have an office in Hancock Community House, 77 King Street, and do a fortnightly radio show on MPR (Flatting Today).
