NZ Early Intervention in Psychosis Society (NZEIPS)

Support NZEIPS in providing resources, training, and advocacy for early intervention in psychosis across Aotearoa

Nationwide

In Aotearoa, many young people face the challenging reality of psychosis, often in their teens or early 20s and Early Intervention is crucial.

NZEIPS supports the provision of EIP Services, develops resources for young people and families, and organizes training events for practitioners. While we don’t provide clinical care ourselves, we play a vital role in connecting those in need with the right support, empowering families with knowledge for recovery, and ensuring healthcare professionals are equipped with the latest tools for effective early intervention. Donations will help fund:

- EIP Training Forum: Providing training for practitioners, to stay informed on the latest developments and best practices in EIP.

- Subsidies for Lived Experience & Whānau Members: Ensuring people with lived experience and their whānau can attend NZEIPS events, gain knowledge, and feel supported in their journey.

- Supporting Executive Committee Members: Covering costs for unpaid executive committee members, particularly those with lived experience or whānau backgrounds, enabling them to attend meetings and engage in work streams.

- Resource Development: Donations support the development of vital resources like Our Stories, a project that shares personal experiences to inform and inspire others.

Your generosity ensures we can continue to build a supportive, informed community for those affected by early psychosis. Together, we can ensure no young Kiwi faces psychosis alone.

Support Ō Mātou Korero, Our Stories - A book sharing young New Zealanders' experiences of psychosis and recovery   4 August 2025

https://givealittle.co.nz/Cause/ourstories

We are reaching out to seek sponsorship for a powerful and meaningful project called Ō Mātou Korero, Our Stories – a book of creative writing and artwork by young New Zealanders sharing their lived experiences of psychosis and their journeys toward healing.

This project aims to:

• Educate and de-stigmatise psychosis;

• Share stories that offer validation, hope, and connection to other young people and whānau;

• Provide a platform for young voices to be heard and their experiences recognised with mana and meaning.

We are also excited to announce that we will be launching Ō Mātou Korero, Our Stories with a public exhibition at Tūranga Library in Ōtautahi Christchurch in October 2025, coinciding with the national Early Psychosis conference.

Contributions towards this project will help with printing and distribution costs, ensuring that copies of the book are available to young people and their families affected by psychosis, across Aotearoa.

Please use our givealittle page if you wish to donate https://givealittle.co.nz/Cause/ourstories
