New Zealand Food Network

NZFN offers one simple solution to two major issues - good food ending up in landfill, and the rising rate of food insecurity in NZ.

Nationwide

New Zealand Food Network (NZFN) was established in July 2020 to provide food rescue on a scale never before seen in NZ. We prevent bulk volumes of good food from ending up in landfill and deliver it to people in need, nationwide.

In New Zealand, 1 in 5 children live in households without access to enough food. Meanwhile, approximately 103,000 tonnes of food waste is generated by the commercial sector every year. Our work relieves both of these issues and makes a positive impact on people and the environment.

NZFN is equipped to respond quickly in times of crisis, an example being the 2023 cyclone and Auckland floods. We supplied affected communities with emergency supplies in an efficient and streamlined approach.

Through our 65 Food Hubs*, NZFN is supporting over 600,000 people nationwide with food on a monthly basis.

If you want to be part of the solution then any contribution you can make will be hugely appreciated. Together we can make a difference and help Kiwis facing tough times.

If you're a food business and would like to donate or gift stock, then you can contact us directly at 0800 366 369 or email us at hello@nzfoodnetwork.org.nz. Alternatively you can visit our website for more information.

Together, we can make a meaningful difference for those in need.
