NZ Gifts of Love and Strength

We are a charity providing care packages for youth aged 13-18years in Canterbury who have experienced sexual harm. These care packages are designed with input from professionals to try and aid in the healing journey. They are currently distributed via the Cambridge Clinic and START. Around 70% of the items are handmade by volunteers, many of whom are elderly survivors of sexual harm and who have expressed that by being able to support these youth it aids in their own healing journey.

We have found that due to the current economic struggles for many businesses it has become increasingly difficult to access funds through grants. We thought we would set up this page for those who find this cause close to their heart and who are in a position to be able to contribute. Any amount is incredibly appreciated.

We would be using the funds that come in through this page to purchase items that aren't handmade such as colouring books and pencils, journals, shampoos and conditioners, deodorant etc. And also if needed we would use it to purchase the fabric and wool for volunteers to make the other items.
