The NZ Brain Injury Support Network is a charitable organisation that provides support, awareness and education to anyone affected by a brain injury.
It was founded by a small family in Rotorua with the primary aim of ensuring that survivors and their families never feel alone. In their experience they felt isolated and lost. Although there was support for their loved one with a brain injury, there was absolutely no support offered to the family. They were left to cope or struggle with their new feelings, new lives, and new responsibilities on their own.
The organisation intends to increase brain injury awareness in New Zealand, and to provide support to both the survivors and their families.
