The New Zealand Federation of Graduate Women Charitable Trust assists women to succeed through scholarships and awards.

We are currently seeking donations for the Susan Byrne Memorial Award, which provides funding for women graduates over the age of 35 years to change their career through further study at a New Zealand tertiary institution.

Susan Byrne was a member of NZFGW who generously bequeathed a sum of money with the suggestion that an award be established for women graduates wanting to make a change of career in mid life. We are asking for donations to continue this scholarship.

The New Zealand Federation of Graduate Women Charitable Trust has donee status with IRD, and any donation can be used to claim a tax rebate.

NZFGW is a non-government, not-for-profit, charitable organisation and part of a global network of similar organisations in 61 countries which make up Graduate Women International (GWI).

Founded in 1919, GWI’s mission is to advocate for women’s rights, equality and empowerment through access to quality secondary and tertiary education, and training up to the highest levels. Its vision is 100% of girls and women in the world achieving education beyond primary school.
