Since 1995 NZNTVA has relied on donations especially from its Veteran members. Unfortunately, many have passed on at a young age. Our great concern is the inherited poor health their Children suffer. Urgent funding is required for research on the children's health and we ask you to 'Givealittle' towards this worthy cause.
In 2007 NZNTVA commissioned Massey University to conduct DNA & Psychological research on the Nuclear Test Veteran's. The results showed DNA damage in the Veterans was the same level suffered by the Chernobyl Disaster clean-up workers, including increased rates of cancer. The study also found the Veteran's suffered high levels of stress, anxiety and mental health issues.
