At The New Zealand Timber Museum, our mission is to celebrate and preserve the rich heritage of wood culture and local history for generations to come. Your support through sponsorship and donations is vital in helping us enhance our exhibits, educational programs, and ensuring that our doors remain open for all to explore and learn. By contributing, you play a crucial role in safeguarding our cultural legacy. Join us in keeping the story of wood alive and vibrant. Every gift, big or small, makes a difference. Thank you for your generosity and commitment to preserving this invaluable part of New Zealand's history.
The Timber Museum was established in the South Waikato District near Putāruru in 1972 to preserve and celebrate the history of the timber industry. The Museum is run by a Trust and supported by the District Council and grant funding.
The Trust is working on the expansion and enhancement of The New Zealand Timber Museum for future generations.
So glad you enjoyed your stay! We appreciate your generosity and hope to see you again.
