Omanaia School Hawai'i Trip August 2018

Northland

Omanaia school was selected by Air New Zealand's Air points for Schools program. Ten of our students (Years 6-8) will be travelling to Hawai'i this coming Monday 27th August 2018. This is a huge opportunity for our children as we have never had the privilege of preparing for such a destination as this and for most of our children who have never been on an airplane or traveled to another country, will be a first time experience.

We chose Hawai'i as our destination because our students have been learning much about Hawai'i and it's histories, stories, culture and traditions. Our excitement is that we get to visit many special places, sites, academies and tourist spots in Hawai'i that we can connect to on many levels. This trip will do so much for our students and their families and will always be one to remember for the rest of their lives.

We have fund-raised all of our money to prepare ourselves for our trip over the last 6 months. We are very grateful for all the families and friends who have helped to contribute towards our trip. There were many people who weren't able to contribute towards our fundraisers because of their location. Therefore we thought it fitting to set up a give a little page for all our friends and whanau, near and afar, to be able to contribute towards our trip away.

We would be very appreciative for any donations for our school. Every dollar will be used to create lasting memories for our children who deserve our very best.

Nga mihi ki a koutou katoa i runga i te aroha, te ngawari me te marie
