Help us fund another teacher for our gorgeous children

We are a little country school that has grown from 15 children, to 35. Next year we have funding from the Ministry of Education for two teachers, so we are fundraising to pay for an extra teacher so our children can be split into three classes - Years 0-2, Year 3-5 and Years 6-8. We would love the support from our community to help us do this.

More about us
Omihi School is a gorgeous wee country school in North Canterbury. We have 35 children from Year 0-8, three teachers, an administrator, two teacher aides, a part time teacher, a bus driver, a Principal, and a school dog.
Use of funds
Funds will be used to pay for an extra teacher to set up a second classroom. If numbers increase and the MOE fund a teacher, then we will use the money for projects around the school.

New basketball/netball hoops for Omihi School 12 January 2018
Hi everyone
Thank you so much for your donations to our school. The exciting news is during term 4 we had a lot of new enrolments, which meant our funding has gone up, so we no longer need to fund our own teacher. The even better news is that we can now use the money donated to purchase new basketball and netball hoops. We managed to raise over $4300 so have purchased brand new hoops and have had a new basketball court painted. The hoops will be up and ready to slam dunk in February!
